Clarity, confidence and creative entrepreneurship: a conversation with independent artist Tatiana Rosa

For many artists, the tension between artistic and financial freedom feels like a constant negotiation. Do I take the paid commission that leaves no room for my own voice, or the dream project that doesn’t cover the bills? Over time, that tension can quietly shape which opportunities you pursue, which ones you turn down, and how you talk about your own value. At Tò Mò, we work with artists to find that balance. Not by telling them what to prioritise, but by giving them the tools and clarity to decide for themselves. Tatiana Rosa, audiovisual artist based in Amsterdam, is one of those artists.

Can vibe coding help cultural organisations build the tools they actually need?

You know the feeling: the software you (or your team) use, be it for project management, ticket sales or staff and volunteer scheduling, works fine, but you just wish it had that one specific function or integration that would make your day to day easier. And the tool that would actually help either doesn’t exist, or costs a small fortune to buy or build. Is vibe coding the answer?

We spoke with her about what that collaboration has brought.

Getting started with TRIZ

In this mini-series, we explore a number of working methods that can contribute to effective and concrete conversations for an agile cultural organisation. Today, part 2: TRIZ.

Why most digital strategies get stuck before they’ve even begun

Many organisations come to Tò Mò with the same question: help us develop a digital strategy. And every time, we see the same thing happen: the organisation gets stuck. Not on the execution, but on the concept itself. What is a digital strategy, exactly, and what is it supposed to achieve? Is it a separate document? A new department? A parallel track alongside your existing work? The ‘how and why’ isn’t clear, so everything grinds to a halt. What’s left is frustration and a nagging feeling: I know we need to do something with this, but I don’t know what. That confusion is understandable. And it’s not your fault. If you ask us, the focus on a ‘digital strategy’ makes things unnecessarily complicated. You just have to go back to the beginning: your mission. We will explain why and give practical tips.
